Location: Manor - Dining Hall (Day)

A few days after the restoration of the tower, the twins called me to the dining hall, but when I arrived, they were nowhere to be seen.

Instead, I was met with a table lined up with colorful confectionery and pastries.

Snow - White: Surpriseee!

Akira: Wah!?

Suddenly, the twins emerged from under the table, their voices startling me.

Snow: Yipee! We have gotten you back good!

White: As expected from our dearest Sage, you never fail to live up to our expectations! What a splendid reaction that was!

Akira: Got me good? For what?

Figaro: Oh dear, apologies for that, Sage. The two insisted they give you something in return for the sweets from last time.

Akira: So these are from you, Snow and White?

Snow: Correct. We had Figaro take us to Melitro.

White: Of course, we could have gone there ourselves but we thought it would be more fun to include our beloved pupil in the surprise-making.

Figaro: I simply had no other choice with how pushy they were…

Snow: How cold~ You were concerned about dear chapfallen White, were you not?

White: What a gentle boy you are, Figgypoo. I feel much better all thanks to you. So much better, in fact, that one might forget I'm a ghost.

Akira: (Ghost humor, eh…)

But is it really okay for me to accept this?

You two have given me so many wonderful gifts already…

Snow: Don’t worry about it. You did us the honor of being a “witness of love”, after all.

White: We wanted to give our thanks on behalf of Vitis.

Mitile: Doctor Figaro!

Figaro: We’ve been waiting for you, Mitile. And for you, Arthur and Heath.

Akira: Did Snow and White call you guys as well?

Arthur: Yes. They invited us to join them for a tea party.

Heathcliff: They told us to wait until the surprise for you is over, though.

Snow: Not everyone is here yet, but we want to thank you all once again.

White: Thanks to your spells of blessing, the tower shall stand tall and proud for a while.

Snow: Unless something happens, that is. After all, we can't be sure it won't be affected by the < Great Calamity >.

White: And now that its only overseer is gone, the area around the tower is no-man’s-land.

Snow: Because of this, we plan on visiting the tower regularly from now on.

White: Will you accompany us when that time comes?

Akira: But of course! I would love to join you again if you’d let me.

Arthur: Me too. Do allow us to ensure the tower remains as beautiful as it's always been.

Heathcliff: I, too, would be happy to see the tower. Its beauty is simply miraculous… I see it every time I close my eyes, like I’m back there again.

Mitile: Can I bring some flowers next time as well? For both Vitis and the tower.

White: Hohoho, that would be wonderful.

Snow: We shall leave that to you then, Mitile.

Oh, I’ve got an idea! How about we hold a tea party at the tower some time?

Rustica: What a splendid idea indeed! Please make sure to invite me as well.

Akira: Rustica!? And Bradley too!

The previously unoccupied chairs in the dining hall were now taken by the recently arrived Bradley and Rustica.

Negligent of our surprise, Rustica continued with a gentle tone, the words spilling out of his mouth like a poem.

Rustica: The tea party is just about to begin, is it not? I’m glad I made it in the nick of time.

I lost myself a little so I went to ask Bradley about it.

Figaro: What an interesting lineup of guests we have today.

Snow: Fret not, Rustica, you’ve arrived just in time.

White: And we’re glad to see Bradley was able to make it as well!

Bradley: T‘s not like I wanted to. I sneezed an' ended up ‘ere by mistake.

That's when Mr. Bridegroom appeared in fronta me an’ started askin’ ‘bout this tea party crap. I told ‘im I dunno anythin’ but he assumed I had come here for it and now I'm 'ere.

The dining hall was filled with everyone's cheerful voices and the sweet aroma of pastries and tea. Some were eating quietly, others were comparing teas, and the rest enjoyed their time chatting.

Snow: Your hand looks frozen, Sage.

White: Let us brew you a cup of tea.

Akira: Ah, thank you.

Figaro: Here, try this one, Master Sage. It’s really good.

Akira: …Mhmm, it really is! It melts in your mouth and has just the right amount of sweetness.

After taking a break from eating, I found my voice and asked Snow and White about something that’s been on my mind for a while.

Akira: … By the way, what happened to the window you made for Figaro?

Snow - White: A… window?

Akira: Yes. I heard you made a stained glass window for him but it was too big to fit inside his house.

White: Oh, right. There was indeed something like that.

Snow: It was another beloved creation of ours. Not as good as the tower, but still quite the unit of an artwork.

Figaro: Yeah, I remember that day clearly. It happened hundreds of years ago on a sunny morning. You two came to my house and presented it to me the moment I opened the door.

The colors and craftsmanship were incredibly intricate and delicate… It was like a window you'd see in a sanctuary, the pieces of glass coming together to make a beautiful picture.

Figaro lowers his gaze as he reminisces about a scene from the distant past.

His voice is soft and gentle. Even though he used to joke about it, it seemed as if that window held a special place in his heart.

Snow: That’s what we wanted. We made it with your most beloved scenery in mind.

White: A scenery of pristine snow raining down upon a sea of azure. It shines like a jewel under the sunlight.

Figaro: It was very beautiful indeed. Whenever I looked at it, I felt like I could hear the sounds of the snowstorms and the ocean waves.

Sadly, I had to shrink it with magic to put it in a frame, but it makes for a rather fancy window nonetheless.

White: You’re the kind who loves to take good care of the things you like, aren't you?

Figaro: Ahaha, thanks. I do plan on moving into a bigger house that will allow me to put it somewhere in its actual size.

Snow: Hohoho! Is that perhaps why you decided to give your blessing to the stained glass tower?

When you saw it for the first time, you still smiled as you always do, but deep inside, you ended up liking it more than you thought you would.

Figaro: You could say that. I do treasure the things that I consider valuable.

Whether it is an object or a person. And even something that doesn't possess a form altogether.

Snow: Then, we shall talk more about the beauty of having a form and the lack of such in love when we visit the tower again.

White: I’m certain that Vitis would be pleased to hear our thoughts. Don’t you agree, Sage?

Akira: …Yes, I think so too!

As I gazed at the smiles on everyone's faces, I began to imagine our tea party at the tower - surrounded by all that snow and white landscapes.

Under the tower’s gentle rainbow light, what will the witnesses of love line up on the table they've gathered around?

Akira: (Snow and White’s favorite sweets, different flavours of tea… And more sugary sweets are a must too.)

(Oh, and maybe…)

I shouldn’t forget to bring the candle stand that resembles the twins’ beloved tower that they made specially for me.
